Tehran Sees Temperature Drop as Jakarta and UAE Face Seasonal Weather
Forecasters predict a relative cooling in Tehran, light rain in Jakarta, and dusty winds in the UAE on Thursday.
A shift in weather patterns will bring a relative drop in temperatures to Tehran on Thursday, with the Iranian capital expected to reach a maximum of 35–38°C after recent hotter days. The national meteorological service notes that skies will be clear to partly cloudy, accompanied by increasing winds that may become strong in southern and western districts, stirring dust. Scattered showers and possible thunderstorms are also forecast for higher elevations. The cooling trend, while modest, marks a departure from the more intense heat of preceding days.
In Jakarta, Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) forecasts light rain across the southern and eastern parts of the city from morning through evening. Other areas—West, Central, and North Jakarta, along with the Kepulauan Seribu islands—are expected to remain clear to cloudy. Temperatures will range from 23°C in the early hours to a daytime high of 31°C, with humidity typical of the season. The pattern reflects the ongoing influence of regional monsoon dynamics, concentrating precipitation in the city’s southern and eastern corridors.
The UAE’s National Centre of Meteorology predicts fair to partly cloudy skies, with a chance of convective cloud formation bringing afternoon rain to eastern and southern areas. Winds will be light to moderate, freshening at times in the west and raising dust. Seas in the Arabian Gulf will be slight to moderate, occasionally rough in western waters, while the Sea of Oman will see similar conditions. The forecast indicates a routine summer pattern, with convective activity driven by daytime heating.
Across the three regions, the forecasts for Thursday underscore the varied seasonal transitions underway. Iranian meteorologists highlight the temperature decline as a temporary relief, while Jakarta’s persistent light rains align with its dry-season interlude. In the UAE, the possibility of isolated showers and dusty winds remains consistent with early summer variability. The next milestone will be the actual observed conditions, which will confirm whether the predicted cooling and precipitation materialise as modelled.

Tehran is expected to see a relative drop in temperatures, bringing cooler days for residents. Wind and dust are forecast, with scattered rain possible in the highlands. The weather service advises caution in southern and western areas due to strong gusts.
Thursday will be hot but less severe than the heatwave in Europe. Temperatures will be near the seasonal average, with moderate heat stress. Air pollution will be low to moderate, and no significant change is expected through the weekend.
